Launched in 2018 during the Microsoft developer conference, the Your Phone app has been constantly updated with new features and functionality by the company.
Microsoft recommends users migrate to iOS or Android smartphones
In addition to allowing access to smartphone content such as photos, messages and notifications directly on the PC, the app now allows users to make and receive phone calls without having to pick up their smartphone. The news was confirmed by Microsoft on Twitter.
The feature allows users to receive and make calls on their PC, access contacts and view their call history from their smartphone. An ongoing call can also be transferred back from your PC to your phone in case you need to move away from your desk and continue the phone call.
Importantly, the Windows 10 PC needs to be connected to the phone via Bluetooth for the feature to work. You can access the call list and dial pad from the Calls section in the left panel of the app when the feature is enabled:
The update to the application on the PC should be made available to users gradually. For those who don't have it installed, download it for Windows 10 at Microsoft Store. Already the Android version can be obtained on here. The smartphone must be running Android 7 or later.
