Huawei is known for launching their smartphones with different names in different markets. Xiaomi also often adopts this practice when it launches its Chinese devices to the global market. A well-known source (@ RODENT950) has leaked information about the upcoming Huawei P40 Lite.
On Twitter, @ RODENT950 revealed that the future Huawei P40 Lite will be the Nova 6 SE, launched last week for the Chinese market.
It also includes a press rendering showing the smartphone in black, one of the color models that the Nova 6 SE will be available.
The Nova 6 SE has a 6.4 inch FHD + LCD screen with the front camera located in the upper left corner. It comes equipped with the Kirin 810 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. On the battery the Nova 6 SE has a capacity of 4200 mAh and supports 40W fast charging.
Rear camera layout is similar to iPhone 11 Pro
The rear camera set consists of 4 cameras, the main one being 48 MP, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide angle, a macro and a deep one with 2 MP resolution each. The front camera located in the screen hole has 16 MP resolution.
The fingerprint reader is located on the side of the device. When it comes to connections, the device retains the 'traditional combo': a P2 headphone jack, a USB-C port and two SIM card holders. In conclusion, Huawei's custom interface, EMUI, comes in its tenth version and 'wraps up' the Android 10 system.
The above specifications should be the same as the Huawei P40 Lite, with chances of having more RAM and storage variations.
The Huawei P40 Lite is expected to be released before its brothers. However, if Huawei is still under US embargoes, the smartphone may be shipped outside of China without Google's services.
