Company says technology was made possible through improvements in Hardware and Software

As the Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro are nothing more than the European version of the Redmi K20, nothing more natural than them receiving the MIUI 12 in their respective markets. Completing the list, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is the top of the line manufacturer for 2019, which was launched in markets around the world. The version outside China is the one that is getting the update.

The MIUI12 is the latest version of Xiaomi’s customized interface for Android. She arrives as a successor to MIUI 11, bringing improvements to the functionality and look of the platform.

One of the great novelties is the implementation of a read mode, which adds a paper-like texture to the screen. This aims to reduce the tiredness in the eyes of reading by looking at a screen – even compared to the traditional night mode of the system.

The update also includes a Sound Wizard, which serves to control the media volume of multiple applications. It allows users to play audio from multiple sources simultaneously. Its interface resembles that of the Windows 10 Volume Mixer, allowing individual control of the volume of each application, as well as the sounds of the system in general.

To enable the feature, you need to go to Settings > Sound and Vibration and then click the round music icon that is on the opposite side of the volume slider. This activates the grid with the volumes of the different applications.

Another feature that was under test in the beta versions of MIUI 12 is a partial screen shot editor. With it, users can capture a specific part of the screen by using their fingers to draw a specific shape in the area they want to save. The video below better shows how this works.
