After launching 15.6 and 14 inch models, Redmi is now preparing to launch the RedmiBook 13 on December 10th. Xiaomi's e-commerce partner, JD.com, already lists the new laptop on its website, but the listing does not yet include pricing.
New smartphone will be launched on December 10th
Redmi's official account on Chinese social network Weibo released a teaser image confirming the release date of RedmiBook 13 in China. The new notebook will have thinner edges on the sides, top and bottom – unlike competitors like the Huawei MateBook D15 and MateBook D14.
Redmi says it has managed to reduce the bottom edge width of the RedmiBook 13 screen to provide a “full screen experience” for users.
Lu Weibing, general manager at Redmi, said in his post on Weibo Network that the company's team redesigned the layout of various circuit board components and customized the display panel to offer the thinnest edges.
In addition to the RedmiBook 13 laptop, Xiaomi will also launch the Redmi K30 smartphone on the same date. The smartphone will come equipped with the recently announced SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 765.
About the Snapdragon 765G, it is already known that it will come with the 5G Snapdragon X52 modem, which offers download speeds of up to 3.7Gbps.
An image published on the Chinese social network Weibo confirmed that the smartphone will have a screen of 6.67 inches. Its upper right corner will have a 4.38mm cut to make room for two cameras. Unlike the Redmi K20, which comes with a 6.39 inch AMOLED display, the K30 will use an IPS LCD panel.
In addition, the Redmi K30 will come with a 64MP main camera based on the Sony IMX686 sensor and three others with 8MP, 5MP and 2MP. The body design of the handset will be based on frosted glass – normal glass finish combined with a frosted glass finish.
