Nokia 9 PureView começa a receber a atualização para o Android 10

In September of this year HMD Global released its Nokia 10 smartphone upgrade roadmap for Android 10. As part of the roadmap, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 7.1 should start receiving the update to the new version of the operating system in fourth quarter of 2019.

Device has high end specs but comes with Snapdragon 845

Nokia 8.1 began receiving the update in early October and now the company has finally started making Android 10 available for Nokia 9 PureView. About Nokia 7.1, it should receive the update in the coming weeks.

The update is now being made available to Nokia 9 PureView users worldwide. The update with version number 5.31D brings Android 10 and all of its new features and functionality.

New features include system-wide dark mode, gesture navigation, additional controls for privacy and location, and more. The update also includes Android security patches for November 2019. Nokia's official Twitter account has also confirmed the availability of the update:

Nokia 9 PureView users can manually check if the update is available for their devices by accessing their smartphone settings.

When it was announced, Nokia 9 PureView caught the eye with its design with five cameras on the back. The design also includes a sensor and LED flash, which resulted in the hexagonal look as seen below:

The lenses are Zeiss certified. All five sensors come with 12MP, but two of the cameras are RGB and three are monochrome. They work together to compose the final photo. The sensor is used to calculate the ToF (time-of-flight) in relation to the object being photographed.

The reason for so many cameras, according to the manufacturer, is to ensure image quality especially at depth, delivering pictures comparable to traditional cameras.

The handset is fully geared for photography lovers, with an entirely manual mode for the user to be able to tinker with various settings before taking the picture and offering the option to shoot RAW photos, ie all the information captured by the sensors, no compression.
