Mavic Mini is the sensation of the moment and Mavic 2 the dream of consumption

Update Overview

– Date: 2019.12.31
– Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0400
– Remote Controller: v01.00.0400
– DJI Fly App iOS: v1.0.4
– DJI Fly Android App: v1.0.4

According to changelog, the update adds the aforementioned support for releasing GEO zones (requires DJI Fly v1.0.4 or later) and adds a feature that prevents takeoff when the GPS signal is very weak (GPS <8) and ambient light is not enough – this feature can be manually enabled / disabled.

The update also introduces an additional requirement for compass calibration before takeoff when ambient light is not sufficient and the compass experiences interference, adjusts flight altitude and charge mode distance, adds a warning for battery cycles, reduces noise during self-diagnosis after turning on the drone and fixes a problem and fixes some bugs.

It is important to remember that the firmware upgrade process may reset some settings, such as maximum flight distance, to their default values. Remember to take note of the settings before starting the process. If the upgrade process fails, restart the drone, remote controller and DJI Fly or DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic and try again.
