Although Google's cloud gaming service Stadia is unable to deliver 100% of what was promised in its announcement, at least at the launch of games announced for this year it will deliver.
Originally the service would come with only 12 games, but Google could almost double that number to 22 on the eve of launch, leaving it missing 4 games in December. One of them, Darksiders Genesis, entered the Stadia catalog on the 5th.
The last 3 games in the last game pack for the year 2019 are: Borderlands 3, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The first two being available from today.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint game will be added tomorrow, December 18, to the Stadia game catalog. He has a responsibility to debut the unique Stream Connect feature, which allows you to see the screens of other players on the team.
If Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the most anticipated, Borderlands 3 will come with some "loose ends". According to developer GearBox Software, Stadia will receive a bugfixed version of October. The developer clarifies that they will achieve the feature parity of all versions of the game by early 2020. There is also a bad news that Borderlands 3 will be running at 30 fps on Stadia.
Next year, Google has confirmed only four games for Stadia: Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077, Gods & Monsters and Watch Dogs: Legion, none of which has a set release date yet. In addition to this fact, the Doom and Cyberpunk trailers presented during this year's Game Awards did not show the Stadia icon, which is worrying fans.
As for the price of games, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is selling for $ 49.99. Borderlands 3 and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint will have 3 editions and are priced for a limited time only:
– Borderlands 3 Standard Edition: $ 38.99
– Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition: $ 51.99
